Where will you wear your PATCH?
We've got a New Contraceptive PATCH Study now enrolling:  Similar to the already approved Xulane patch, but with a lower dose estrogen. Note that lower estrogen doses are associated with improved safety in other combined hormonal contraceptives.

To qualify you must:
  • be healthy, at least 18 years old, with regular menstrual cycles
  • be at risk for pregnancy by engaging in sexual intercourse at                            least 1x per month
  • want to avoid pregnancy during the entire 13 months of study
  • agree to use study patch contraception as the only form on birth control during the study, except emergency backup barrier contraception or emergency contraception when necessary
  • not have sensitivity to medicated patches or bandages, etc.
  • not have any known contraindication to combined hormonal contraception use and cannot use nicotine in any form if 35 years old or older
Other criteria also apply. Qualified participants receive free birth control for the entire study, free study-related exams, labs and compensation. Daily diary entries are required of participants.

Not ready for kids for at least the next year.

Just not ready for kids?
Nearly half of all unintended pregnancies are the result of inconsistent or improper use of contraceptives. Women at risk for unintended pregnancy who use contraceptives consistently and correctly throughout the course of any given year account for only 5% of all unintended pregnancies. While the women at risk who use contraception, but do so inconsistently, account for 44% of all unintended pregnancies. Therefore, consistent and correct use of contraception is crucial to women’s health.
