Tidewater Clinical Research has been involved in ophthalmic research since its inception in 1995. The coordinators are trained and certified at the highest level of ophthalmic medical technology.

Our experienced Principal Investigators have an approximate 70,000 patient database spanning the spectrum of ophthalmic disease.

We have a full range of onsite ophthalmic equipment: LASERS, Automated Visual Fields, Tonometry, Pachymetry, Ophthalmic Ultrasound, Ophthalmic Photography and more.

We pride ourselves in our highly skilled ophthalmic research coordinators. They are qualified to train others in ophthalmic technology and have been consultants to Sponsors, assisting with other investigative sites' training.

Our Ophthalmic research experience includes multiple studies in each of the following areas: Glaucoma, Dry Eye, Allergic Conjunctivitis, Bacterial Conjunctivitis, Ocular Inflammation, HIV Retinopathy, Diabetic Retinopathy, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Ocular Hypertension, Contact Lenses,  Contact Lens Solutions, Post Op Cataract Inflammation, and more.
